Planned Giving
A legacy gift to Vita Living is an investment that provides endless support to the mission of Vita Living and ensures vulnerable people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities have a home in the community regardless of their challenges or financial status. Sustaining gifts help VL to invest in permanent housing and long-term programs.
All individuals who have documented a legacy gift are inducted as sustaining members of the Vita Living Creative Caring Society. Benefits include:
- Recognition on our Society donor wall.
- Acknowledgment in materials at our annual Pearls of Wisdom Dinner.
- Potential income and/or estate tax benefits.
- Knowledge that your investment is sustaining the future of Vita Living.
Types of Planned Gifts
- Including Vita Living in your will.
- Designating us a beneficiary of your retirement plan like a 401k, 403b, or IRA.
- Naming Vita Living as the beneficiary of your fully funded life insurance policy.
- Transferring stocks, bonds, or shares of mutual funds for the benefit of Vita Living
Thank you for thoughtfully considering a gift. We hope you will join us as a sustaining member. If you are interested, please contact Richard Graber, Chief Development Officer, at rgraber@vitaliving.org to get started.

Donate Stock
Charitable giving doesn’t always mean cash. By giving stock, your support will have even greater impact – without denting your pocketbook.
When you donate stock, you avoid the tax on the gain while deducting 100% of the value of the contribution and you may earn 2-3x the tax savings vs. donating cash. It’s a win-win for you and us, and now it’s fast, safe and easy to do. Donate stock from your brokerage directly to our account through this secure portal, making the gifting process fast, safe and easy.
Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised Funds are the fastest-growing giving method and tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations.
Donor Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution and receive an immediate tax deduction. Vita Living, Inc. is proud to be a resource and partner to several of the United States’ largest Donor Advised Fund sponsor organizations and their philanthropic services teams.
Donations made to Vita Living, Inc. through Donor Advised Funds can be designated for use wherever the need is greatest or aligned with thematic areas that match our supporters’ interests. Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Widget on this page.
When you make a Donor Advised Fund gift, it’s possible that the sponsoring organization will not share your information with us. Please send us a note at info@vitaliving.com when you’ve made a gift so we can thank you and ensure it gets to where it is intended.
